IMPLEMENTATION OF INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY

As the leader of the Instructional Technology Department I played a key role in identifying and integrating technology tools that promote college readiness and 21st-century learning. With expertise in evaluating and assessing technological resources, I ensured continuous support for the successful implementation of new technology in a school of 4,500 students and 300+ staff members. Additionally, I oversaw the strategic planning and procurement of school technology equipment to enhance classroom instruction.

I developed and executed a district-wide technology integration plan, equipping Lane Tech with 1:1 device programs and digital learning tools. Collaborating with teachers, I designed blended learning models that increased student access to personalized and self-paced learning opportunities. To support effective technology integration, I conducted workshops and training sessions on emerging technology and tools, fostering a culture of innovation and digital literacy among staff.

Furthermore, I partnered with companies like Apple, Google, Code.org, SIGCSE, etc to evaluate and pilot new educational technologies to ensure alignment with district goals and student needs. I also organized Tech Talks, the largest CPS technology event, bringing together vendors and educational technology providers to introduce innovative solutions to schools across the district.
