I supported the promotion and expansion of music department. I also started the first ever Sound Engineering studio class in CPS. Led teachers to develop new curriculum and recruit talented students for the music program at Lane Tech.

The Lane Tech Music Department is the biggest music program in Chicago! All students can participate in band, chorus or orchestra. Students can enroll as a beginner with no experience or be placed in higher level classes based on their ability and audition. Students attending Lane may choose Music as a major or choose a performing class as an elective.  Students who have participated in the Music Major program have been accepted into many of the finest music colleges around the country! I worked and collaborated with Lane Tech Music Department chair and teachers to build a top notch award winning music department in the city and design curricular offerings beyond traditional ones such as our Sound Engineering and Recording Studio, Adaptive Music class and Samba Percussion.
